Courageous Kids Foundation in Chilobwe is one of the orphanages around Blantyre which is helping 160 children. Among the children are adults from secondary schools and colleges. 60 of the children reside at the orphanage whilst the other remaining 100, come from their homes.
Although this Foundation is helping children from nursery schools to colleges, still they lack so many things that as Jesus Mission we thought of giving a hand apart from the orphanages we are helping like Kanjedza orphanage in Chikwawa District.
We learnt with concern that Courageous Kids Foundation lost one of the kids due to unsafe water. Because it was unable to pay bills, this forced some of the kids to drink contaminated water which affected the child and lead the child to death.
As we know that Water is life, we also have to know that if the water is not safe then there is no life. So as Jesus Mission we say Safe Water is Life.
Jesus Mission on this day helped the Foundation in paying water bills. The water bill was approximately MK500, 000 and donated some food items including Maize flour, Soya pieces and more. As of now the Foundation is using and drinking safe and clean water for all purposes.
Courageous Kids Foundation is owned by a young lady by the name Courageous Musasa who was an orphan, whose parents were killed, leaving five children. At 13 yrs old she was responsible for her siblings. Afterwards, she and her siblings were taken in by Friends of Mulanje Orphan (FOMO) an orphanage that took care of them. After a great job by Friends of Mulanje Orphan and college, Courageous returned to now helping orphaned children and those in need of help. This gave birth to courageous Kids Foundation.
Courageous Kids Foundation has a lot of needs and currently depends on well wishers. We pray for God’s blessings and mercy to be manifested in their situations. We thank God for his mercy in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
