Matthew 25:1 talks of the ten women who took their oil lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and other five were wise. The bible says, the foolish ones did not take any extra oil with them, while the wise ones took containers full of oil for their lamp. What happened at the end was that the foolish ones went off to buy some oil and while they were gone, the bridegroom arrived.
This piece teaches us to be wise in everything we do. We should always think of the future and make plans.
Jesus Mission thought like the five wise women who bought extra oil for themselves. We now have 110 bags of maize in store. We thought of the future, that if the season is gone and there is hunger in the country, the price of maize in our markets will rise and to those that are less privileged, it will be a problem for them to buy. We have bought these bags of maize to supply to our orphanages when the time comes.
