On 23rd November 2021, Jesus Mission and the team visited Kanjedza Orphanage in Chikwawa District.
The main aim of the visit was to have a meeting with the committee members to see how they run their orphanage.
During the meeting, we had a questionnaire and one of the questions was to know if these people have a heart for the children or they are after some benefits that they get from donors/helpers.
According to the answers from the committee, we found out that they are at the orphanage to help. As such, we gave them some advice that we believe if they use them, the kids at the orphanage will grow fearing the Lord and being successful in the future.
After everything, we had time to donate some banners. These Banners are the Rights of the Children and Responsibilities of the Children.
We know that every child an orphan or not have got a right that allows him/her to do certain things. So we donated to them in the Malawian language (Chichewa) so that the children and the community will also be able to read and know what they are supposed to do.
The Responsibility Banner was all about what children at the orphanage must do. We know they are children but in the future, they will be responsible parents and even political leaders. So at their age, we are making them know they are supposed to do chores and some of the things like sweeping the surrounding.
There are a lot of things that we want to help children at the orphanage, as such, we need more donors and well-wishers.
