Chiswe is one of the orphanages that Jesus Mission is helping. It has lots of children that needs total care and love.
On 23rd September 2021, Jesus Mission was at Chiswe Orphanage with items that our partners from United States of America generously donated.
One of the women from the royal family of Chief Chiswe thanked Jesus Mission and the team for the donations. In her words, she said the community has a lot of homeless kids that needs attention. For that, they need organizations like Jesus Mission to come to their rescue. Having the items that were given to the children, she said she was so delighted and hoping the help will not end there but continue as time goes. She was reminded that Jesus Mission has helped this community with the building of toilets to assist the orphans, provided food items, done health assessment and, many other things. We are there for this community.
The Director for Jesus Mission who is also a Pastor impacted the gathering with powerful word of God. He does this to put hope in those taking care of the children and to the children to let them know there is a God in Heaven, Who watches over them day and night.
Pastor Kachale started encouraging the guardians to be sending the children to school regularly. He stated children should not come because they heard Jesus Mission is donating clothes but because they know the positive impacts of sending a child to school. These children might be future leaders that the country will rely on. He read Psalms 34:8 which talks of the goodness of the Lord to those that obeys Him. Those that obeys the Lord lacks nothing. He told the little ones that it wasn’t Jesus Mission that gave them what they received, but God through Jesus Mission, did provide.
Missionary mama Betty Morgan Newell the one who was presenting the gifts to the children, praised the work teachers at Chiswe are doing. She said she was blessed to be in their presence and she assured the orphanage that as God keep on blessing Jesus Mission, they will also be blessed.
It was nice enjoying and eating together with the children and everyone present on that day. God is still speaking today. Amen.
